Female fatally run over after falling out of truck on Almeda Road

HOUSTON, TX – According to the Houston Police Department, an unidentified female was struck and killed by a driver after she fell out of the bed of a pickup truck on the 10400 block of Almeda Road Thursday morning.

A pickup truck driver was heading north on Almeda Road when a woman standing, possibly dancing, in the bed of the truck fell out around 1:50 a.m. The female was then hit by another northbound vehicle.

Following the collision, both drivers fled the scene.

First responders transported the female to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Officials have not released the victim’s name.
