Driver fatally collides with man on Westheimer Road in west Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A driver struck and killed a man on the 6400 block of Westheimer Road on Tuesday night, according to the Houston Police Department.

A person was driving a gray Nissan Altima east on Westheimer Road when a 25-year-old man ran south across the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk. The driver hit the victim around 11:40 p.m.

The driver stopped and called 911.

First responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Following the collision, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

The Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
