School bus overturns into ditch on FM 1010 in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, TX – Dozens of students were hospitalized after a Cleveland ISD school bus overturned into a ditch on FM 1010 on Monday morning, according to KHOU.

First responders evaluated all 59 students on the bus at the scene. They transported 36 students to area hospitals for precautionary evaluation. Nobody suffered life-threatening injuries.

Following the collision, officials contacted parents and guardians, who received SMART Tag notifications for each student involved in the incident.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
