Pickup truck driver dies following single-vehicle crash on FM 1485 in New Caney

NEW CANEY, TX – A man died in a single-vehicle collision on the 31900 block of FM 1485 on Thursday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Dennis Hoffman was driving a black Dodge Ram east on FM 1485 when he strayed off the road, entered a drainage ditch, and slammed into a tree around 9:56 a.m.

First responders pronounced Hoffman dead at 10:06 a.m.

The Vehicular Crimes Division of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
