Motorcyclist killed in Sheldon-area solo crash on US-90 EB
HOUSTON, TX – A man in his 60s sustained fatal injuries late last week in a motorcycle accident along the freeway in northeast Houston, reports Fox 26 Houston.
The collision occurred sometime before 4:30 p.m. Friday on the eastbound side of US-90, or the Crosby Freeway, just past Sheldon Road. This is just northwest of North American Recovery Services.
Investigators haven’t yet determined the cause of the crash, which they say involved only one vehicle.
The motorcycle rider, who has not yet been named publicly, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
There were no other passengers on the motorcycle at the time of the accident.
Officials closed the eastbound side of the Crosby Freeway in the area of the crash while crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
