Drunk driver arrested after fatal crash near Crosstimbers, Oxford

HOUSTON, TX – A man died in the hospital eleven days after he sustained injuries in collision caused by a drunk driver in north-central Houston, reports MyTexasDaily.

The accident occurred on Saturday, October 4th in the area of Crosstimbers Street and Oxford Street, which is west of I-45 and south of Kerr Park.

Police say that a Toyota Corolla struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk. The continued travelling until it impacted with a building.

The pedestrian, who has not yet been named publicly, died in the hospital on Wednesday, October 15th.

Authorities arrested the driver of the Toyota, identified as Roosevelt Anthony Ervin, on a charge of intoxication manslaughter.

The investigation is ongoing.
