Crews respond to fatal crash on Twin City Hwy in Jefferson Co.
NEDERLAND, TX – A fatality has been reported in connection to a major accident that happened Thursday along the highway in east-central Jefferson County, reports KFDM 6.
The collision occurred around noon on the Twin City Highway, or TX-347, near Lone Star Drive in Nederland, which is approximately 93 miles northeast of Houston.
Police haven’t yet commented on the cause of the crash, the number of cars involved, or the manner in which the vehicles impacted.
Additionally, authorities are waiting to notify next of kin before releasing the name of the deceased.
The collision likely caused delays along TX-347 while emergency teams worked to clear the scene.
