Drunk driver rear-ends HCSO cruiser at FM 1960, Belleau Wood
HUMBLE, TX – A Harris County police officer sustained injuries Saturday in a rear-end collision in the northeast suburbs, reports abc 13 News.
The accident occurred at night in the area of FM-1960 East and Belleau Wood Drive on the eastern side of Humble, which is about 20 miles from Houston.
Police say that an alleged drunk driver struck the rear of a police cruiser near the intersection
The police sergeant received medical care for non-critical injuries at an urgent care clinic in the area.
Officials arrested the driver that caused the crash on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
A full investigation is underway.
