Fatality reported in semi crash near US-290, W Little York
HOUSTON, TX – One person died Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision along the highway in northwest Houston, reports KHOU 11.
The accident occurred sometime before 8:30 a.m. on US-290 near West Little York Road in the Brookhollow West area.
Police haven’t shared any details about the crash except to say that it likely involved an 18-wheeler and a passenger vehicle.
Authorities declared one person deceased at the scene. The victim’s name has not yet been released to the public.
Officials closed the southbound side of the highway while crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene. Motorists were encouraged to seek an alternate route.
