Police chase ends in rollover crash near Chimney Rock, Memorial
HOUSTON, TX – A police pursuit ended in a single-vehicle collision along a major roadway in west-central Houston on Monday morning, reports KHOU 11.
The accident happened around 4 a.m. in the area of Chimney Rock Road and Memorial Drive, which is south of I-10 and west of I-610.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Houston Police attempted to stop the driver of a pickup truck along I-69 for erratic driving. The driver evaded police, ultimately losing control of their vehicle and hitting a tree along Chimney Rock Road. Reports indicate that the truck also overturned.
The pickup truck sustained heavy damage.
It’s unclear if the driver of the pickup truck required hospitalization. There’s also no word thus far regarding charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
