Fatality cited in hit-and-run on Katy Tollway near BP Way

HOUSTON, TX – A man died Monday from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run crash that happened over the weekend in northwest Houston.

Around 3 a.m. Saturday, reports abc 13, emergency crews responded to the Katy Tollway between North Eldridge Parkway and BP Way, just north of ConocoPhillips World Headquarters.

Police say that an unknown vehicle struck a pedestrian who was helping at the scene of an earlier collision.

The victim, whose name has not yet been released to the public, succumbed to his injuries two days after the crash.

Authorities are looking for a black sedan in connection to the accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
