Woman critically hurt, driver at large in Houston hit-and-run

HOUSTON, TX – A woman sustained life-threatening injuries last Thursday when a vehicle fatally struck her along a busy roadway in north Houston.

According to Fox 26, the accident occurred at night on FM 1960 between Bammel Westfield Road and Hafer Road in the Cypress Station area.

Police say that a Honda CR-V struck Lolita Moore as the victim struggled to cross FM 1960 after hurting her foot.

The driver did not stop to render aid or to speak with authorities.

Medics transported Moore to an area hospital in critical condition. Authorities say her injuries include internal decapitation.

A full investigation is underway. If anyone has any information or tips to share, they can contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
