Aldine high school student struck at bus stop, hospitalized

HOUSTON, TX – A high school student in the Aldine ISD sustained injuries Monday when a vehicle hit him at the school bus stop.

According to Click 2 Houston, the incident occurred in the afternoon near the intersection of Henry Road and Isetta Lane, which is west of the Hardy Tool Road in northeast Aldine.

The driver of a silver truck failed to stop for a school bus, police say, and struck 16-year-old Eric Osornio as he was getting off of the school bus.

Medics rushed Osornio to an area hospital with a broken femur and other non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the silver crash stopped immediately to render aid and speak with police.

No charges have been announced at this time, as the investigation continues.
