One life claimed in rollover collision on U.S. 290 in Houston 

HOUSTON, TX – One person’s life was claimed in a rollover collision on U.S. 290 that happened along the Fairbanks North Houston exit.

The crash happened before 10 p.m. Houston police told ABC 13 that a driver of a black SUV had lost control of their vehicle after reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed and crashed into another car.

The SUV crashed into a guardrail and overturned, and its driver succumbed to fatal injuries. The three occupants inside the struck car were uninjured.

Police are working to determine whether impairment was a contributing factor behind the crash.
