Woman killed when motorcycle collides with 18-wheeler in SW Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A truck and a motorcycle were involved in a collision in southwest Houston on Wednesday that left one person dead.

Fox 26 Houston reported details of the crash, which occurred on the feeder road of the I-610 South Loop West near Almeda Road.

Houston police said a motorcyclist was traveling eastbound at about 4:40 p.m. and crashed into an 18-wheeler that was attempting to turn right into a parking lot.

The motorcycle rider, a 26-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The truck driver, who was not hurt in the incident, was released after being questioned by police.  It was determined that he did not show signs of impairment.
