Houston PD investigates hit-and-run crash with tanker truck along Delmar Stadium

HOUSTON, TX – Law enforcement is investigating the details behind a hit-and-run crash involving a tanker truck that happened along Delmar Stadium on Wednesday.

According to KHOU, the incident occurred before 5 p.m. on Highway 290 along the Mangum Road and Dacoma Street exit.

Police said one driver of an unspecified vehicle struck a tanker truck, causing it to jackknife.

The impact caused fuel, oil, and other engine fluids to leak from the truck. Despite the impact of the crash, no one was injured.

The tanker truck blocked all lanes, leaving officials with no choice but to redirect oncoming traffic onto the shoulder and issue temporary closures.

All lanes have since reopened.
