Driver hospitalized after 18-wheeler crash on I-35

SAN ANTONIO, TX – One individual was transported to the hospital after their semi-truck drove off of a bridge along Interstate 35 Wednesday night.

According to KENS, the driver lost control of the truck and crashed into a guard rail before careening off of a bridge and into a dried-up creekbed just north of the Shepard Road exit at about 11:00 p.m.

The driver was taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries and is expected to recover. However, the truck sustained significant damage and threw its contents, aluminum cans, across the freeway.
