One dead after San Antonio freeway collision

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Official in Northeast San Antonio have reported a single fatality resulting from an early morning collision on Wednesday.

According to KTSA, the crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. within the eastbound lanes of North Loop 1604 close to Green Mountain Road. Police believe the driver who was killed in the crash rear-ended another vehicle which sped away after being hit.

Another motorist spotted the wreckage and notified police who found the victim deceased upon their arrival on the scene. Details regarding the identity of the other driver involved in the crash remain unknown as of Wednesday night.
