1 dead, 1 injured after pin-in crash on FM 973 and Tesla Rd
AUSTIN, TX – One person was killed and another was injured during a pin-in crash on FM 973 Road this morning, according to information provided by Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash happened between 2400-4537 N Fm 973 near Tesla Road and south of Webberville Road at 6:28 a.m., when two vehicles collided.
One adult victim was pinned within the wreckage and then declared a trauma alert by paramedics. They were taken to the South Austin Medical Center with severe, possibly life-threatening wounds.
A second adult victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Drivers were told to expect extended traffic delays near the scene and were told to avoid the area.
The crash remains under investigation.
