Speeding driver rear-ends deputy in Harris County
HARRIS COUNTY, TX- A deputy was injured when he was rear-ended by a vehicle driving 100mph on Friday night on Tomball Parkway, KHOU reports.
The driver of the Mercedes-Benz sedan hit the Harris County sheriff’s vehicle at 11p.m. on Tomball Parkway near Spring Cypress Road.
The deputy went unconscious and was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. The at-fault driver was also hospitalized but with minor injuries.
Police believe the at-fault driver was intoxicated and speeding at the time the crash occurred.
The investigation is ongoing.
