Driver fatally collides with tree on Fairbanks North Houston Rd

HOUSTON, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly single-vehicle collision that happened on the 7600 block of Fairbanks North Houston Rd on Friday, according to ABC 13.

The driver was heading north on Fairbanks North Houston Rd at excessive speeds when he hit a curb and lost control before slamming into a tree around 12:30 a.m. The driver was thrown from the vehicle during the crash.

The vehicle was split in half by the impact.

Rescue crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Nobody else was in the vehicle, and no other drivers were involved in the collision.

Officials have not released the victim’s name.
