Driver of disabled car fatally struck near I-45 SB, El Dorado
HOUSTON, TX – Emergency crews responded to a fatality crash along the freeway in southeast Houston Saturday night, reports KHOU 11.
Shortly after 9:30 a.m., a southbound Chevy pickup truck hit a man who was standing next to his disabled Dodge Durango on the Gulf Freeway near El Dorado Boulevard. This is just north of Baybrook Mall.
The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name to the public.
Medics transported a 9-year-old girl from the Chevy to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
No charges have been announced so far.
