Man dies in Houston pedestrian crash on Bissonnet Street
HOUSTON, TX – A 50-year-old man died in a pedestrian collision Saturday night on Bissonnet Street in Houston, per the Houston Police Department.
Police say the crash occurred at around 9:50 p.m. in the 10100 block of Bissonnet Street.
Just before the impact, a white Ford Fusion was reportedly heading west on Bissonnet. The pedestrian entered the street, and the Ford struck him, according to investigators.
Emergency crews transported the pedestrian to a local hospital for treatment. Doctors declared him dead the following Monday. Officials have not yet released his name pending notification of family.
The Ford driver reportedly stayed at the scene after the collision. Police said the driver showed no signs of impairment. Investigators spoke with the driver and later released them.
