Man killed in fatal right-of-way crash on Barker Cypress Road
HARRIS COUNTY, TX – One man died in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in the 4000 block of Barker Cypress Road in Harris County, per the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Police say the collision occurred at about 7:55 p.m.
The man, identified as Christopher Allicock, was reportedly driving north along Barker Cypress Road just before the crash. At the same time, a second vehicle driven by Melissa McElwee pulled out from a business driveway.
Authorities believe McElwee failed to yield the right of way as she was attempting to turn left onto Barker Cypress Road. Allicock then allegedly struck the rear right quadrant of the other car.
Emergency crews transported Allicock to Memorial Hermann Hospital. The man was later pronounced dead.
