Motorcycle crash on Aldine Westfield kills HCSO deputy

SPRING, TX – A two-vehicle crash in north Harris County claimed the life of an off-duty deputy from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.

According to Click 2 Houston, the accident occurred sometime before 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Aldine Westfield Road and Ciderwood Drive in Spring, which is about 25 miles north of Houston.

Police say the off-duty deputy was riding a motorcycle at the time of the collision. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash stopped to render aid and to speak with police.

The investigation is ongoing.
