Multi-motorcycle crash on Katy Fwy in west Houston kills 1, injures 3
HOUSTON, TX — One person died Wednesday night after a crash involving four motorcycles in west Houston’s Energy Corridor, accordidng to KHOU11.
The fatal wreck occurred on the westbound lanes of the Katy Freeway (Interstate 10) near the exit to Dairy Ashford Road. It was first reported shortly before 11:00 p.m.
The Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office said three motorcyclists were stopped on the shoulder of the highway when they were struck by a fourth motorcyclists traveling at a high rate of speed.
Officials said the striking rider died as a result of their injuries. The other three riders were transported to an area hospital where the severity of their conditions remains undisclosed.
