Pedestrian struck, killed on the North Fwy at Airline Dr

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was fatally struck Wednesday morning along the freeway in north-central Houston, reports abc 13.

The accident happened shortly before 6:15 a.m. on I-45, or the North Freeway, at Airline Drive. This is just west of the Northline Campus of Houston Community College.

Police haven’t yet shared any details regarding the circumstances of the collision, nor have they released the name of the deceased pedestrian.

Officials closed all northbound lanes of I-45 in the area of the crash while crews worked at the scene.

All lanes re-opened just before 9:30 a.m.
