Pedestrian struck, seriously injured by cement truck on FM 2920 in Harris Co. Tuesday

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A man suffered serious injuries on Tuesday after a cement truck struck him on FM 2920 in north Harris County, reports FOX 26 Houston.

Sheriff’s officials report that the man was crossing FM 2920 from the north as the cement mixer was traveling east on the same roadway in Spring. Investigators say the truck driver tried to steer clear of the pedestrian but ultimately collided with him.

Emergency crews transported the injured man to a nearby hospital for treatment. Reports indicate that the pedestrian was in serious condition.

Investigators do not believe impairment played a role in the crash.
