Security guard injured after vehicle strikes Fort Bend County business on Tuesday

FORT BEND COUNTY, TX – A security guard suffered minor injuries after a vehicle slammed into a business Tuesday evening in Fort Bend County, reports FOX 26 Houston.

The wreck happened near the intersection of northbound State Highway 99 and Fry Road.

Officials say the driver mistakenly pressed the gas pedal and accelerated into the business structure. The vehicle struck and injured the store security guard inside. The motorist was reportedly unharmed.

Investigators have not said whether they issued any citations related to the incident.
