Semi crash on I-10 EB near Energy Corridor blocks traffic
HOUSTON, TX – A major collision involving two semi-trucks halted traffic Friday morning along the interstate in west Houston, reports KHOU 11.
Sometime before 6:45 a.m., emergency crews responded to the eastbound side of I-10 at TX-6, which is at the northeast corner of George Bush Park near the Energy Corridor.
It’s not yet clear what caused the multi-vehicle accident, which police say involved at least one other vehicle along with the two 18-wheelers.
Officials closed I-10 in the area of the crash until around 9 a.m. while crews worked to move the semi-trucks from the roadway.
There’s no word yet regarding injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
