Stolen car slams into Aldine ISD school bus, injuring 4 students

HOUSTON, TX – Four middle schoolers sustained injuries Tuesday when a teen evading police crashed his vehicle into an Aldine ISD school bus.

According to abc 13, the collision occurred in the evening on the service road for the Eastex Freeway between Apala Drive and Seymour Drive in northeast Houston.

The 17-year-old driver of a stolen vehicle evaded an attempted stop, leading police on a chase in the East Aldine area. The stolen vehicle ultimately collided with a bus carrying 28 students from Aldine Middle School.

Medics transported four of the students on the bus to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials arrested the driver of the stolen vehicle. Charges are pending.

A full investigation is underway.
