Stolen vehicle crashes head-on before suspects caught by police in NW Houston

HOUSTON, TX- Two suspects who stole a vehicle were driving against traffic right before they collided head-on with a truck and then attempted to flee from police on foot on Feb. 21st.

In a video shown by KTRK, once can see the stolen vehicle speeding down an extremely busy road around 5:10p.m.

The stolen black Honda Accord began fleeing from police at Fairbanks North Houston and West Little York. While the vehicle was driving against traffic, it was weaving in-between cars before it finally slammed head-on into a black truck. As soon as it hit the black truck, smoke began to emit from the hood of the Honda and two people are seen to run off on foot across the busy road. Soon after that, several police officers are seen to be chasing them on foot.

The suspects, 26-year-old Terry Rogers and 17-year-old Jaya Branch, were eventually caught. While evading police in the vehicle, they had managed to hit eight cars and one motorcycle, breaking the motorcyclist’s leg.

Both Rogers and Branch face two charges.
