Two-car crash causes a third car to lose control on N U.S. HW 59
HOUSTON, TX- Two cars crashed in front of a third car and the third vehicle crashed into a metal ramp while trying to avoid the first collision on Jan. 9th on HW 59, the HPD reports.
This occurred at 14000 Eastex Freeway around 7:50 p.m.
The driver of the blue Corolla died when he hit the ramp going onto Sam Houston Parkway. This car had not made contact with any other vehicles and had been behind the other two vehicles.
The red Corolla and the Mazda, which both crashed into each other, veered to the left, hitting a concrete barrier. This Corolla’s owner was not harmed. The Mazda’s driver was a 40 year-old woman who was hospitalized but is expected to survive.
All three vehicles had been driving northbound at the time of the incident.
There is an open investigation into this case.
