Two-vehicle crash involving semi on S Loop East near Cherbourg kills 1
HOUSTON, TX – One man died, and another was hurt last Friday in a two-vehicle crash that happened on the south side of Houston, reports My Texas Daily.
Shortly before 9:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a collision involving a semi-truck on the westbound side of South Loop East between Kassarine Pass and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a westbound Ford pickup truck drifted into the neighboring lane and struck the front side of an 18-wheeler. Both vehicles then left the roadway and crashed into a pole and a concrete wall.
A passenger in the pickup truck died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
No other injuries have been referenced in connection to the accident.
