UPDATE: HCSO IDs victims of double-fatal crash on TX-249 near NW Houston

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Authorities have identified victims and released more details following a fatal two-vehicle crash Thursday morning near northwest Houston, according to a Harris County Sheriff’s Office press release.

The collision took place in the 2900 block of West Mount Houston Road (Texas State Highway 249/Tomball Parkway) at around 7:00 a.m. HCSO deputies were dispatched to the scene shortly after.

Investigators learned that Policarpo Hernandez Moreno was driving a maroon Honda Civic westbound on the road at the same time Keenan Laurue Hill was operating a black Dodge Charger eastbound. At one point, Hernandez Moreno failed to maintain a single lane, causing the Honda Civic to veer into the center-turn median, where part of the car’s front end was hit by the the Dodge.

First responders pronounced Hernandez Moreno and his passenger, Jennifer Rodriguez Moreno, deceased at the scene.

Hill and their passenger, Diego Herrera, were both transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.

The HCSO’s Vehicular Crimes Division continues to investigate. This blog will be updated to include any new information.
