Crossing guard brought to ER after pedestrian-vehicle collision in Houston 

HOUSTON, TX – A crossing guard was brought to the hospital following a pedestrian-vehicle collision in Houston on Thursday.

Houston Independent School District told Fox26Houston that a vehicle struck their crossing guard at the intersection of East Ninth and Harvard Streets.

It’s unclear if the crossing guard was injured, although first responders took them to the emergency room out of precaution.

Houston police did not specify whether the driver stayed at the scene or would face charges.

Police have not released the crossing guard’s name and are actively working to piece together the cause of the crash.
