2 HPD officers hospitalized after colliding on Richmond Ave
HOUSTON, TX- Two on-duty police officers crashed with a truck at 6999 Richmond Ave while responding to a call on Jan. 20th.
KTRK reports that the incident occurred at 7:20p.m. close to the Galleria.
A truck drove into the officers as they were passing on Hillcroft Avenue. The officers were driving by on their way to an emergency call.
The truck had been driving west and struck the police car even thought the police car had lights and sirens turned on.
The officers were both hospitalized but that they did not have major injuries.
An investigation is currently ongoing because the cause of the crash is unknown. Authorities were given some information by informants who learned the information on neighborhood apps.
