PPD motorcycle officer sent to hospital after crash on Fairmont Pkwy in Pasadena
HARRIS COUNTY, TX — A PPD officer was injured Friday morning due to a crash involving a department motorcycle in southeast Pasadena, according to ABC13.
The wreck took place off the intersection of Fairmont Parkway and Center Street, near the Village Grove area, at around 8:30 a.m.
Pasadena Police Department officials have not disclosed the circumstances of the accident, but the involved officer was reported alert and conscious while being transported by ambulance to UTMB Clear Lake. The severity of the officer’s condition was not disclosed.
A southbound section of Center Street at Fairmont Parkway was closed to the public as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The PPD have not indicated whether another vehicle was involved.
An investigation was underway.
