Authorities called to multi-vehicle wreck on I-45 NB in north Houston
HOUSTON, TX — Five vehicles were involved in a crash Monday morning on Interstate Highway 45 near Houston’s Cypress Station area, according to Houston Transtar.
The multi-vehicle accident occurred on the northbound lanes of I-45 (North Freeway) at Cypress Station Drive. It was verified by Houston Transtar at 9:13 a.m.
Very few details have been released, but at the the time of the initial report, the scene was blocking only the right shoulder, leaving all travel lanes open to traffic.
The shoulder remained closed until 10:24 a.m., more than an hour later, suggesting a more involved emergency response.
As of this writing, authorities have not confirmed whether anyone was seriously injured or had to be taken to a hospital.
