UPDATE: Man dies after NW Houston crash that occurred during dispute

HOUSTON, TX — A 28-year-old man has died after his vehicle was allegedly rammed into last Wednesday following a dispute in northwest Houston, according to ABC13.

The violent wreck occurred in the 4000 block of West 34th Street, near TC Jester Boulevard, at about 2:55 p.m.

Authorities say the victim, Marvin Saines, was arguing with the suspect, 47-year-old Andrei Niculusca, in a nearby parking lot when Saines got into his vehicle and drove away. Preliminary details indicate Niculusca got into his white Ford F-150 pickup truck and closely followed Saines’ car at a high rate of speed. At one point, the Ford collided with the victim’s vehicle, causing it to lose control and strike a utility pole.

Saines, who was airlifted by Life Flight to an area hospital, was listed in critical condition. Officials confirmed Wednesday that he has died from his injuries.

Niculusca, who was arrested following the crash, faces a felony charge of “aggravated assault with a deadly weapon” in the second degree. On Friday, a judge set his bond at $75,000.
