1 sent to hospital after rollover semi crash on Eastex Fwy near NE Houston
HARRIS COUNTY, TX — One person was hospitalized Saturday morning after an 18-wheeler overturned on the Eastex Freeway near northeast Houston, reports ABC13.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened on the southbound side of the freeway (Interstate Highway 69) near Lauder Road and was reported at around 7:08 a.m.
Authorities have not specified what caused the rollover, but photos and footage captured at the scene show the semi’s cab flipped onto its roof on the freeway shoulder. The trailer is also shown crashed on the freeway road below.
It’s unclear how many other vehicles were impacted by the incident, but only one person was transported to a hospital. Neither the victim’s identity nor condition has not been disclosed.
No charges have been reported as of this writing.
