Wrong-way collision claims 1 life on Central St in SE Houston
HOUSTON, TX — Authorities responded to a fatal crash involving a wrong-way driver Sunday morning in Houston’s Harrisburg/Manchester area, according to ABC13.
Houston Police said the accident happened on Central Avenue at K Avenue, near the Ship Channel.
Preliminary details show one vehicle was traveling against traffic on Central Street when it collided with a second car.
The driver of the second car was pronounced deceased on the scene by first responders, confirms officials.
The causing driver was transported to an area hospital where their condition remains undisclosed. No other occupants were involved.
An investigation remains in progress.
