Hit-and-run driver strikes, kills boy riding bicycle in Grand Oaks
GRAND OAKS, TX – According to KTRK, a hit-and-run driver fatally collided with a 10-year-old boy riding a bicycle at Windy Stone Dr and Concord Green Dr on Thursday.
The driver of a dark-colored SUV was heading north on Concord Green Dr when they ran a stop sign and hit the boy around 11 p.m.
Rescue crews flew the boy to an area hospital, where he died.
Following the collision, the driver fled the area. The boy’s bicycle was stuck underneath the SUV, so the driver stopped and removed it from the SUV near Old Greenhouse Rd.
