Driver hits, kills elderly man in Alief
HOUSTON, TX – A driver struck and killed a 91-year-old man on the 6600 block of Synott Rd on Monday, according to Click 2 Houston.
A 68-year-old was driving an orange Kia Rio north on Synott Rd when they struck the victim as he was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk around 6 p.m.
First responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Following the collision, the driver and passenger stayed at the scene.
Authorities determined the driver was not impaired. They questioned and released him.
