2-year-old boy dies when 15-year-old driver crashes into ditch
HOUSTON, TX – According to KHOU, a two-year-old boy died when a 15-year-old driver slammed into a ditch on Tidwell Rd near Mesa Dr on Wednesday.
The 15-year-old boy was driving a Honda Pilot east on Tidwell when he plowed into a ditch around 6 p.m.
First responders transported the toddler to an area hospital, where he died. He was not secured in a child seat at the time of the wreck.
The driver suffered minor injuries.
Authorities do not believe impairment played a role in the crash. They have not filed charges.
