Wrong-way driver crashes into another car on I-45 near Independence Heights
HOUSTON, TX – According to Click 2 Houston, two people were hurt when their vehicle was struck by a wrong-way driver on southbound Interstate 45 near Interstate 610 on Tuesday morning.
The suspect was driving a blue Ford F-150 north in the southbound lanes of Interstate 45 when he collided head-on with another vehicle around 1 a.m.
First responders transported the two people inside the car that was hit to an area hospital with moderate injuries.
Another driver collided with debris from the initial collision. That driver was not hurt.
Authorities detained the wrong-way driver. It is unclear if they will be cited or charged for the incident.
