Driver strikes 2 pedestrians, killing 1 on FM 1960 in Houston
HOUSTON, TX – According to Click 2 Houston, a driver struck two pedestrians, killing one of them, on the 3100 block of FM 1960 on Saturday.
The driver hit a man and a woman as they were walking on the shoulder of FM 1960. Following the collision, the driver fled the scene.
First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene and transported the woman to an area hospital. The extent of her injuries is unknown.
Authorities found the driver. They believe he displayed signs of impairment and arrested him after he refused a field sobriety test.
The driver has been charged with intoxication manslaughter, intoxication assault, and failure to stop and render aid.
