1 hurt in crash on East Fwy near MM 840 in Jefferson Co.
JEFFERSON CO., TX – One person was hurt Wednesday morning in a collision along the interstate in west-central Jefferson County, reports 12 News Now.
The accident happened shortly before 5:45 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-10, or the East Freeway, near Fannett and Cheek. This is about 72 miles northwest of Houston in the greater Beaumont area.
Police haven’t yet specified the cause of the crash, the number of vehicles involved, or the manner in which those vehicles impacted.
They say that one person sustained non-life-threatening injuries; it’s unclear if the victim required hospitalization.
Drivers faced delays along I-10 heading into Beaumont on Wednesday morning while emergency crews assisted the injured party and worked to clear the scene.
