Fatality reported in multi-car crash on TX-30 near Hardy Weedon

BRYAN, TX – One person died, and another sustained serious injuries Thursday in a multi-vehicle collision along the highway in central Brazos County, reports KBTX 3.

The accident happened sometime in the afternoon on TX-30 at Hardy Wheedon Road on the southeast side of Bryan, which is about 100 miles northwest of Houston.

Police say that an eastbound Ford F-150 rear-ended a Nissan Armada on TX-30 before entered the westbound side of the highway and crashing head-on into and SUV.

The wrong-way driver succumbed to their injuries shortly after transport to an area hospital. Authorities have not yet released their name to the public.

Medics transported the driver or the SUV to the hospital with critical injuries.

None of the occupants of the Nissan required hospitalization.

Delays were reported along TX-30 in the area of the crash while emergency crews worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
