Wrong-way crash involving semi near Anderson injures 3
ANDERSON, TX – At least three people were hurt earlier this week in a multi-vehicle crash caused by an 18-wheeler in central Grimes County, reports Navasota Examiner.
Around 2 p.m. Monday, emergency crews were called to an injury collision in the area of TX-90 and Country Road 180 in Anderson, which is about 72 miles northwest of Houston.
Police say that a northbound semi-truck entered the southbound side of TX-90 to avoid rear-ending two vehicles that were stopped and preparing to turn. The semi struck three southbound vehicles, including a Honda, a Lexus, and a Tacoma.
Medics airlifted two people from the Tacoma to area hospitals with serious injuries. A third person from the Tacoma went to the hospital via ground ambulance.
No charges have been filed thus far.
A full investigation is underway.
